It’s that time of year again — The Big Give SA 2020!
This is a day of giving for hundreds of nonprofit organizations in the San Antonio area.
WHY BIG GIVE IS SO IMPORTANT THIS YEAR?
Because of social distancing guidelines due to the COVID pandemic, TruLight127 has had to cancel and/or retool many of our in-person fundraisers. This virtual day of giving online is great way for nonprofits, like us, to safely raise extra donations to support our foster children!
OUR 2020 BIG GIVE GOAL
If you follow TruLight127 closely on Facebook, then you know that we recently were gifted, by two amazing donors, TWO BRAND NEW HOUSES at TruLight Youth Village!
This couple and their amazing hearts for the foster children, they didn’t stop there. They are also working with us to make our dream of building a recreation center at the Village, a reality!
Our goal at TruLight127 for the Big Give 2020 is to raise $25,000. The funds raised will be used to purchase items to fill the rec center that the children will use for their mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual growth. Such as:
Art Easels
Paints
Musical Instruments
Sensory Equipment/Toys
Seating in the Theatre Room
Library Shelving
Since TruLight Youth Village officially opened its homes and beds to foster children in September 2019, we have helped over 70 children placed in the foster care system. In addition to our 4 houses, lovingly furnished by the incredible hearts of our donors, this recreation center is just another way that we can make TruLight Village a safe home where these children can grow and learn.
