It’s that time of year again — The Big Give SA 2023!
This is a day of giving for hundreds of nonprofit organizations in the San Antonio area.
WHY BIG GIVE IS SO IMPORTANT THIS YEAR?
Big Give 2023 will return for their 10th anniversary of fundraising success on Wednesday September 20 at 6 PM thru Thursday September 21 at 6 PM.
Our Big Give Goal
Recently, we have had a scare from a nearby wildfire. During this time we realized we need to amp up our safety protocols to make sure we keep the kids safety our first priority! With this we need to enhance the safety of our children by putting a fire hydrant in the middle of our property so we can be more prepared in instances like this. We also need another van to transports kids to and from places. We recently increased our capacity from 35 to 45 so with more kids comes needing another van to transport all our kids at once.
Our goal at TruLight127 for the Big Give 2023 is to raise $20,000. The funds raised will be used to improve the safety of our children at the village.
Since TruLight Youth Village officially opened its homes and beds to foster children in September 2019, we have helped over 1500 children placed in the foster care system. In addition to our 4 houses, lovingly furnished by the incredible hearts of our donors, opening the Discovery house is just another way that we can make TruLight Village a safe home where these children can grow and learn.

Match Minutes
A “match minute” is a short period of time, usually lasting a minute or less, during which the matching donor will double the value of donations received. For example, if someone donates $100 during a match minute, the matching donor will contribute an additional $100, effectively doubling the impact of the donation.
- Make sure you are on the Big Give site 5-10 Minutes before the match minute
- Make sure you click donate and put in all your card information
- When the time hits complete your transaction by hitting submit!
We have many opportunities for you donation to be doubled or even tripled!

- Personal Donor Match: September 20 6PM-8PM
- Any donation will be tripled by one of our TruLight127 Donors
- Big Give Match: September 20 8:10PM
- Any donation will be matched up to $100
- Big Give Match: September 20 9:10PM
- Any donation will be matched up to $100
- Non-Profit Council Match: September 20 10:10PM
- Any donation will be matched up to $100
- Big Give Match: September 21 9:10AM
- Any donation will be matched up to $100
- Najim Charitable Foundation Match: September 21 11:10AM
- Any donation will be matched up to $200
- Big Give Match: September 21 12:10PM
- Any donation will be matched up to $100
- Big Give Match: September 21 2:10PM
- Any donation will be matched up to $100
