Our Mission
Our mission is to change the world one child at a time by putting James 1:27 into ACTION!
For us, that means more than simply caring about vulnerable children and families—it means showing up. We put our faith into action by protecting children, strengthening families, supporting foster and adoptive parents, walking alongside young people, and helping families find hope and healing through some of life's hardest moments.
Whether we are helping a child find safety, supporting a family working to stay together, equipping a foster or adoptive parent, or bringing trauma-informed support into the community, our mission remains the same:

Our Values
Every Person Has Worth
Every child, every parent, and every family has value. A person's hardest day, biggest mistake, diagnosis, behavior, or past does not define who they are. We choose to see the person and the story behind the behavior.
We Show Up
Healing doesn't happen because someone says all the right things. It happens through relationships with people who keep showing up. We walk alongside children and families through the hard, messy, beautiful parts of life—and remind them that they don't have to do it alone.
Families Matter
Whenever it is safe and possible, families deserve support, resources, and opportunities to grow stronger. We believe in strengthening biological families, supporting kinship families, equipping foster families, celebrating adoptive families, and surrounding all of them with community.
Healing Happens in Relationship
People heal through safe, trusting, and connected relationships. We lead with compassion, curiosity, connection, and grace while still providing the structure and accountability that help children and families grow.
Faith Calls Us to Action
Our faith isn't simply something we talk about—it calls us to serve. James 1:27 has been at the heart of TruLight127 from the beginning. We believe loving God means showing up for vulnerable children and families in practical, meaningful ways.
Hope Changes What Comes Next
We cannot erase what has happened, but we refuse to believe that the hardest parts of someone's story have to determine how it ends. We believe in second chances, new beginnings, restoration, and the possibility of something different.
We can't undo everything that has happened to a child or family. But we can make sure they don't have to walk through what comes next alone.

A world where a child knows, “I am seen. I am loved. I matter. And there are people who aren't giving up on me.”
