Project REACH is the community healing, prevention, and education initiative of TruLight127 Ministries.

For more than a decade, TruLight127 has walked alongside children and families impacted by foster care, trauma, abuse, neglect, separation, and difficult life circumstances. Through Project REACH, we are taking what we have learned beyond the foster care system and into the community.

Project REACH provides trauma-informed healing and self-worth groups, parenting education and support, access to short-term individual counseling for underserved individuals, and trauma-informed training for educators, churches, and community leaders.

Our programs are rooted in the belief that healing happens through safe, connected relationships. Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) principles are woven throughout our programming as we help individuals and communities better understand trauma, behavior, connection, self-worth, and healing.

Whenever funding allows, (TruLight127 seeks grants, donations, and community sponsorships) Project REACH programs can be offered at little or no cost to participants who might otherwise be unable to access them.

There is more to the story than the behavior.

Meet Our Founder & Project REACH Program Leader

Sondra Ajasin, LMSW

Founder, TruLight127 Ministries |

Director of Community Outreach & Project REACH

Sondra Ajasin is a passionate advocate for children, families, and trauma-informed, healing-centered care. She is the wife of Yomi Ajasin and the proud mother of seven children—two biological and five adopted—whose life experiences have deeply shaped her heart for vulnerable children and families.

Sondra is the Founder of TruLight127 Ministries, where she has spent more than 20 years serving and advocating for children, youth, and families impacted by trauma, foster care, adoption, separation, attachment challenges, and other difficult life experiences. Her work is rooted in faith, compassion, restoration, and the belief that healing happens through safe, connected relationships.

As Director of Community Outreach and Project REACH, Sondra brings together professional education, specialized trauma training, child-welfare experience, and lived experience to develop programs that strengthen individuals, caregivers, families, and communities.

Sondra is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and holds a Bachelor of Social Work, a Master of Social Work, and a Master of Human Services with a concentration in Marriage and Family. She is currently completing supervised clinical social work hours under Trisha Walker, LCSW-S, therapist, speaker, and author with Psychotherapy with Hope, as she works toward clinical licensure.

Sondra is also a Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) Practitioner and Trauma Competent Caregiving Facilitator, with extensive training focused on trauma, attachment, relationships, self-worth, and strengthening caregivers' ability to respond to the needs beneath a child's behavior.

Through Project REACH, Sondra leads the development of trauma-informed programs that provide self-worth and caregiver groups, parenting support, access to counseling for underserved individuals, and trauma education for educators, churches, community organizations, and other adults who influence the lives of children and families.

Her work is guided by a simple but deeply held belief:

"There is always more to the story than the behavior. We can't undo everything that has happened to a child or family, but we can see the person, understand the story, build connection, and make sure they don't have to walk through what comes next alone."

One of the goals of Project REACH is to make trauma-informed support available to children, teens, adults, and families who may not otherwise be able to afford it.

When grant funding and donations are available, we are able to reduce or completely remove the cost of programs for those who need them.

$200 Sponsors a Seat

A gift of $200 can cover the full cost for one participant to attend an 8-week Making Sense of Your Worth (MSOYW) or Parenting for Positive Self-Worth (PPSW) group.

That's 16 hours of connection, learning, encouragement, and healing that finances don't have to stand in the way of.

Sponsor Counseling

Project REACH seeks to provide up to three months of individual counseling at no cost to individuals from underserved populations when funding is available.

Your gift can help remove the financial barrier between someone who needs support and someone who can walk alongside them.

Not every need fits neatly into a program.

Unrestricted gifts to Project REACH allow TruLight127 to respond where resources are needed most—from parenting support and community outreach to group scholarships, educational materials, and trauma-informed resources.
