Who We Are and What We Do
TruLight127 Ministries is a faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to walking alongside children and families through some of life's hardest places.
For more than a decade, our work has centered around children and families impacted by foster care, abuse, neglect, trauma, separation, adoption, and other difficult life circumstances. Over the years, that work has grown as we have continued to listen, learn, and respond to the needs we see around us.
Today, TruLight127 carries out its mission through three distinct programs, each serving a different part of the journey while sharing the same heart: children and families should not have to walk through hard things alone.
One Mission. Three Ways We Show Up.

Finding and supporting families for children who need them.
Our licensed Child Placing Agency recruits, trains, verifies, and supports foster and adoptive families who open their homes to children in the Texas foster care system.
We believe foster and adoptive parents need more than training and a license. They need people who understand the journey, practical tools for parenting children who have experienced trauma, ongoing encouragement, and a team willing to walk alongside them when things get difficult.
Through relationship-based and trauma-informed support, we work to help create safe, connected homes while honoring each child's need for family, belonging, connection, and permanency.

Project REACH takes what TruLight127 has learned through years of walking alongside children and families impacted by trauma and brings that knowledge and support beyond foster care and into the community.
Through Project REACH, we provide trauma-informed healing and self-worth groups, parenting education and support, opportunities for underserved individuals to access short-term counseling when funding is available, and trauma-informed training for educators, churches, community leaders, and child-serving organizations.
Project REACH reflects something years of this work have taught us:
We can't only support the child. We have to strengthen the people and communities surrounding the child, too.

A safe place to land while children wait for what comes next.
TruLight Youth Village provides residential care for children and youth in foster care who need a safe, supportive place to call home during a difficult and uncertain season of their lives.
But we want the Village to be more than a placement.
We want children who come through our doors to experience safety, connection, consistency, ordinary childhood moments, and adults who see beyond their behaviors to the stories underneath them.
Children may only be with us for a season, but while they are here, they deserve to know they matter.
Our work at the Village is grounded in trauma-informed, relationship-based care and the understanding that children who have experienced hard things need safe adults willing to keep showing up.
Our programs may look different, but the heart behind them is the same.
Through our Child Placing Agency, we find and support families willing to open their homes.
Through TruLight Youth Village, we provide a safe place for children who need somewhere to land.
Through Project REACH, we take healing, education, parenting support, counseling access, and trauma-informed care into the broader community.
Together, they allow TruLight127 to meet children and families at different points in their stories.
We can't undo everything that has happened to a child or family. But we can make sure they don't have to walk through what comes next alone.
