Parenting Tender Hearts is growing—and we’d love your help making it even better. Through Project REACH, we are updating Parenting Tender Hearts to reflect the full range of adults who care for, guide, teach, and “parent” children. That includes biological parents, foster and adoptive parents, kinship caregivers, grandparents, residential staff, and professionals who work closely with children. This 6-module, live Zoom series brings together practical parent education with principles influenced by Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) and Parenting for Positive Self-Worth (PPSW). Together, we’ll explore trauma and development, felt safety and regulation, connection, behavior, appropriate expectations, and practical ways to help children grow in skills, responsibility, and independence. At the heart of Parenting Tender Hearts is learning to slow down and ask better questions about behavior: Is this trauma? Is this development? Is there an unmet need? Does this need correction? Could more than one be true? What does this child need from me right now? Because this is a pilot of our newly updated curriculum, we want your feedback! We want to know what you think about the activities, presentation, discussions, and materials you receive—and what could make the program even more useful for families and professionals.
